Well my Tuesday didn't end at all how I had hoped and dreamed it would. My cycling class was all that I could have hoped for, and the adult conversation following always helps my mood. I came home to my wonderful and loving husband doing the dishes...which is always appreciated. As I sat down to eat my late dinner following class, we heard someone fussing...assuming it was the baby my husband took off down the hallway towards his room only to find the baby sound asleep. But in the older boys room # 2 was screaming, coughing and of course he ended up puking. Yet another Tuesday night this month where we have had to deal with him being sick. I held the puking 3 year old while my wonderful husband cleaned the puke off the toilet and floor.
So our jam packed day today had to be rescheduled. Instead I have spent the day washing, and sanitizing and keeping my fingers crossed that he doesn't in fact have anything that the rest of us can catch. In the mean time I have called the Md's office and I am hoping that as a result to me calling we aren't going to be headed into the clinic.
I sat down and looked at my calendar for the next few months I realize now that I am really going to have to be on my "A" game for most of April but especially in May. I am excited to help out a few friends with their kids in both April and May, but May will be busy. I most likely will have to call on friends to pick up # 1 from school as I don't think I will have enough room in my van for my 3 kids plus the extra kids I am going to be watching...guess we will have to check out the "car seat" situation once it happens.
Not only am I busy with kids, but I am starting to get busy with making cakes and cookies...and I am enjoying every minute of it. Probably a good thing as that wonderful husband I have mentioned before is building me my "professional" kitchen to sell my yummy cakes and cookies.
So here is my "Oh...your THAT MOM" moment for the day. I'm that Mom who makes homemade pie crust, not a big deal really, but with # 3's allergies, I don't have a choice. For some people it's just too much to do something like that, but I guess I do it because it tastes better but also because there isn't a single store made pie crust that I can have because they all have soy in them. So it works, or we make it work. :)
My journey of mothering 3 boys...and trying hard to keep myself healthy and sane in the process.

Trucking along on Tuesday
So here I am again...right now I have a baby hanging on my lap...the good new is he isn't screaming at this moment. I don't remember the other two screaming when they cut their teeth. I remember the oldest puking with each tooth...let me tell you how much fun it is to clean puke out of a car seat. For the longest time that was the only place he puked...thank goodness we have gotten over that phase. I don't remember too much about the middle one, maybe it's because # 1 and # 2 are only 19 months apart.
I started the day out great...actually got my shower in before taking # 1 to school, and then came home and fed myself and the baby. I got laundry not only done but also folded and...put away which never happens in the same day. I have my last load staring at me as I type...and a last minute load in the washer...I had forgotten that # 1 has been expressing himself artistically, and the sofa cover and carpet Oh the joys of motherhood. Thank goodness our sofa is nearly as old as I am...and I'm being honest when I say that. There are pictures of my older brother holding me as an infant while siting on the sofa. Maybe when our kids are older we can afford nicer things, but until then I'm just glad that what we have is holding up.
Tuesdays are one of my favorite days...I treat myself to a little break from my kids, and I take a cycling class. My wonderful husband suggested that I treat my self to a class so I started after the New Year and it has been heavenly. I especially enjoy that one of my friends is in the class with me.
